

See behind the scenes at the UK's last traditional tram depot. Blackpool Transport will be throwing open the doors of its 75 year old tram depot on Sunday 26th September.
The depot will be open from 1030 to 1600 admission cost is £2 with programme included*. Please pay on the day.
Blackpool Transport's tram and bus fleet is housed at the Rigby Road depot complex in South Shore. At the open day you will be able to see:
- Display of classic trams
- Display of Blackpool Transport's bus fleet
- Vintage Buses from the Lancastrian Transport Trust and other preservation groups
- Model Tram layouts
- Memorabilia Stalls
- A guided tour through the paint shop, body shop and fitting shop is available for an additional £1 charge payble on-site
- and much more.
Getting There
The easiest way to reach the depot is by tram with a special, frequent, vintage tram service operating from Bispham along the Promeande right to the tram depot. Lines 1 and 11 pass nearby. Nearest car park is on Blundell Street or Lonsdale Road.
