Anniversary Week Programme

A packed week of tram activities has been organised from Thursday 23rd to Wednesday 29th September 2010. With Tram Tours, Vintage Tram Services, Beer & Buses, Social Nights, a Procession, the Anniversary Dinner and the flagship Depot Open Day. Full details below:

Thursday 23rd September 1030. First tour of the week sees the debut of OMO 8* after restoration with Brush 632 and Coronation 304. Organised by Lancastrian Transport Trust. Thursday 23rd September 1900. Welcome Evening at a private suite at Uncle Tom's Cabin including Hot Pot Supper - fun tramway quiz and a background to the week's events.

Friday 24th September 1930: Lancastrian Transport Trust "Beer and Buses" - A pair of classic Blackpool PD3 buses from 1967/8 will pick up at Blackpool Town Hall (Market Street, 1930) and operate a free shuttle service around the quality pubs of South Shore and St. Annes.

The event is free and no pre-booking is required.

Saturday 25th  Daytime: Timetabled vintage tram service from Pleasure Beach to Bispham using Blackpool trams. Normal fares and travelcards valid.

Sunday 26th 1030 to 1600: Blackpool Transport Rigby Road Depot Open Day. Vintage Trams from other systems on tram service; Blackpool Trams on display guided tram works tours; up to 25 vintage buses on display; trade stalls; models and entertainment.

£2 admission (including programme*) - guided works tours £1 extra - tickets sold on the day only. * while stocks last.
